This painting is about making and not making choices. "North" is about going toward nature, science, and being part of man's knowledge . "South" is staying home, caring for others, having stability and family. "West" is moving inward, knowing ones' self and that connection to spirituality. Since this piece is framed as a gallery wrap, I have written "East" along the edges as a path toward the unknown, finding adventure from wherever life takes you. Where is you path; perhaps all four directions? And than again maybe we are all going "East". Tell me what you think.

This was not fun and slowly I worked back to my roots as a painter only this time using those magical sound symbols which make up our speech.� Receiving her MFA from the University of Wyoming and then working in advertising Sid Freeman became enamored with calligraphy.
