Artist's Description

My friend Jeanne Poland and fellow calligrapher said to me: "Every thought that I have is either illusion or illumination". I thought that was very profound and asked her if I could used it for a painting. Well, she said yes and here it is. I hope she likes it. I hope you like it. Using grey as a low identity color - going toward violet when surrounded by yellow and yellowish when surrounded by purple. I am trying here to use this color quality again as a metaphor for the illusive nature of illusion and illumination.
