Description
Another in my series of “Wordscapes”, “Conversations” was inspired by the view of Merced River from the back of a motel in El Portal. Northern Yosemite was on fire; we were afraid the trip would have to be cancelled. It was in September and the river was low. But we lucked out and the hiking was wonderful – only in the last day was smoke our companion. Again this painting, like others in this series is about the parts which make the whole. The words I have used are: rock, dry, wet and current. Life is constantly exchanging itself, moving, changing and being part of the music of the Universe. I feel so lucky to be in its presence.

Thank you so much. I am trying to clarify my intentions and doing another "river" type piece. This one is going big - gulp! It is 56" X 24". Since I can't work up-side-down and being a watercolor, I have to work flat, my husband build me a bridge for my elbows and knees. I have to climb-up on the table to paint. I am getting my exercise. Hope it works! Thanks, Sid

Thank you so much, I need all the encouragement I can get. I looked at your work and love the fractals - I seem to be work at times with something similar (things inside of things - usually unnoticed.) Your pieces teach me. Thanks, Sid
